The reading problem
A caption should identify the pictured model and who published the image. It should not turn a catalog picture into an implied test result.
A missing measurement is information about the record. Treat it as unresolved rather than filling the gap with a reasonable-sounding estimate from a similar product.
A practical example
Foger Switch Pro has separate kit, pod and charging-device records. A component parameter should keep its component label.
Give the unknown its own field
Write down the subject, the publisher, the exact source address and what remains unknown. When another account repeats the statement, check whether it supplies new evidence or simply points back to the same original.
Which field remains unsupported by the available record?
A worked reading example: An unresolved field is a legitimate result
A product page may supply a model name and a publisher image while leaving a question about testing unanswered. Record those two established items and keep the measurement field unresolved. Do not borrow a number from a similar-looking device to make the page feel complete. The same discipline applies to authenticity and market status: an attractive package image cannot answer either question. A reader should be able to see what evidence would be needed next, such as a stated test method or an exact dated institutional record. Giving that gap a place in the article makes the account more useful than a confident conclusion with no source.
Check the caption
Read the image, caption and linked model heading as one record. Confirm that all three name the same object. Keep a picture of a component distinct from a picture of the complete arrangement.
Editorial takeaway: Separate missing support from a negative finding; they are different outcomes.
A boundary worth keeping
Useful documentation can end with an unanswered question.
The linked product publishers describe their own materials. This publication provides a reading structure; it does not claim to have independently tested devices or certified a market status.
